John Larrimore Wright brings over a decade of litigation experience to his defense of clients in civil matters, with a focus on construction and bad faith cases. He also handles insurance coverage, commercial litigation, and professional liability claims.
John’s practice is built on meticulous case preparation and strategic thinking. He conducts comprehensive investigations of legal issues and develops arguments that were often not immediately apparent, believing that thorough analysis combined with innovative strategy provides the most effective path to resolution. His detailed approach allows him to uncover nuanced aspects of each case and present the strongest possible arguments for his clients.
Understanding that each case requires a tailored approach, John works closely with clients to outline potential paths forward, including associated risks and benefits. He provides guidance based on his extensive experience with similar claims while ensuring clients maintain control over key decisions. When he believes a proposed strategy may not serve a client’s best interests, he clearly communicates potential consequences to help inform their choices.
Before entering law practice, John gained valuable business experience working in his family’s textile company during the 2008 financial crisis. Faced with widespread supplier closures, he successfully identified new domestic and international suppliers, demonstrating the problem-solving skills and tenacity that now characterize his legal practice.
A Charlotte native, John attended law school in Montana, where he and his wife Lauren remained for a decade. As a partner in a Billings, Montana firm, he gained experience in the unique challenges of Big Sky Country’s legal landscape while building his practice. He has since returned home to North Carolina, bringing this diverse experience to serve businesses throughout the state.
When not practicing law, John enjoys fishing, skiing, and hiking with his wife and children. John also serves as Cubmaster of Pack 34, where he was once a Cub Scout.
