Sierra Robertson

Attorney at Law

Sierra Robertson is a civil litigation and workers’ compensation defense attorney in the firm’s Charlotte office. Sierra brings a disciplined and analytical approach to every case, combining strategic precision with exceptional written and oral advocacy to protect her clients’ business interests and litigation goals. She excels at turning complex disputes into opportunities for resolution and tactical advantage.

Her love for the legal profession dates back to childhood. From the age of 11, Sierra knew she would become an attorney and developed a reputation as a practical problem-solver and fierce advocate for fairness, disciplined reasoning, and principled decision-making, foundations that now define her approach to complex civil defense litigation.

Before joining Hedrick Gardner, Sierra gained significant experience in complex civil defense in the Special Litigation Division of the North Carolina Department of Justice, where she assisted in defending state agencies, officials, and public institutions in class actions, constitutional litigation, and contract disputes in both state and federal courts. She also clerked for several litigation practices, where she worked on civil appeals and other high stakes matters.

Sierra attended Campbell University School of Law, where she earned a full-tuition merit scholarship as a Ben & Patrice Thompson Achievement Scholar. During law school, Sierra distinguished herself as a Research Assistant, Teaching Assistant, and Constitutional Law Scholar. Additionally, she garnered the North Carolina Advocates for Justice Student Advocacy Award for Trial Advocacy. She also led with distinction as President of the Black Law Students Association, advancing mentorship, legal education, and community service initiatives.

Sierra’s litigation foundation is strengthened by her commitment to service through extensive pro bono advocacy, including work with The Child’s Advocate, the Restorative Justice Clinic, and other community legal programs.

Beyond the office, Sierra enjoys spending time with loved ones, appreciating nature, reading science fiction novels, gardening, and cooking.
