Nathan Liland strives to build lasting relationships with clients, recognizing the importance of serving others, and guiding them through the intricacies of the legal system. He is curious about a range of civil litigation fields and desires to grow every day in his practice to better assist his clients and pursue the best possible outcome for each matter.
Nathan’s experience includes externing with Chief Justice Paul Newby at the North Carolina Supreme Court, where he drafted several bench memoranda and attended numerous oral arguments. He also worked at a law firm in New Bern, NC, focusing on local government and municipality defense.
While attending Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, Nathan utilized his skills and passion in legal advocacy by being a part of the Campbell’s Moot Court team. While on the team he participated in several competitions mastering both his legal writing and oral advocacy skills. Nathan was awarded top 3 best oral advocates in a regional ABA Moot Court competition and inducted into the Order of Old Kivett. Additionally, his studies took him to Ghana where he had the opportunity to study the country’s legal system, spend time with local attorneys, and learn about the country’s history and culture.
Away from work, Nathan enjoys golfing, going to the beach, cheering on the Carolina Hurricanes, and generally absorbing the outdoors. He also proudly wears the distinction of being an Eagle Scout.
