Biography

Based in the Charlotte office, associate attorney, Christopher Bueno is a member of the firm’s  Workers’ Compensation team. Christopher values transparency, collaboration, and communication in building strong client relationships. He believes in demonstrating these qualities in every client interaction to earn trust and deliver effective legal solutions. 

Christopher earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2023. While in law school, he was recognized with the CALI Award for Contracts II. Before law school, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Metropolitan State University of Denver. 

His legal career began with valuable externship experiences at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee and as a Legal Intern at Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC), where he honed his skills in litigation, research, client advocacy, and negotiation. 

Before transitioning to law, Christopher held significant roles at Teachers Insurance Annuity Association (TIAA), where he served as a Senior Client Service Manager in Charlotte, NC, overseeing the operations and administration of institutional retirement plans. His tenure at TIAA also included a position as a Financial Consultant in Denver, CO, where he proactively advised clients on financial products and services. 

Outside of his legal career, Christopher enjoys spending time with his two boys, engaging in sports like basketball and football. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Christopher found his way to the South for law school, ultimately establishing roots in Charlotte.
