Elizabeth A. Weisner

Attorney at Law

A voracious reader and seasoned traveler, Elizabeth Weisner understands the value of seeing things from different angles. Her favorite books let her see the world from new perspectives and learn about other cultures. Additionally, her most memorable travel ventures involved spending time in places where she did not speak the local language. This exposure to unique viewpoints enhances her ability to serve her clients well.  She aspires to craft workable resolutions to help clients move past roadblocks in their lives.

While at Georgetown Law, Elizabeth gained wide-ranging experience through internships for the Appellate Division of the US Attorney’s Office for DC, the US Department of Justice’s Office of Foreign Litigation, the Honorable Edward J. Damich of the US Court of Federal Claims, and the Honorable Royce C. Lamberth of the US District Court for DC.

After returning to Charlotte, she clerked for two years for the Honorable Louis A. Bledsoe, III, now-retired Chief Judge of the NC Business Court. In private practice, Elizabeth garnered experience representing clients in contract disputes in the NC Business Court, preparing briefs for the NC Court of Appeals, and drafting pleadings in state and federal courts. She also litigated trade secret matters and investigated and prepared EEOC charge responses.

Elizabeth gives back to the community through extensive pro bono work. She has been inducted into the NC Pro Bono Honor Society four years in a row while in private practice, putting in 50 or more hours of pro bono work annually. She has served as a lead volunteer for the NC Bar Foundation’s Wills for Heroes program since 2022.

In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys running, supporting the arts, bookstore hopping, and spending time with family and friends. Germany is her favorite travel spot, where she was once an au pair and English teacher.
