Ryan M. MacEachern

Attorney at Law

Ryan MacEachern didn’t know she wanted to be a litigator until she was watching cases unfold from behind the bench. A year clerking for the Honorable Judge Coble, Chief Administrative Judge for Richland County, gave her a front-row seat to the courtroom and the confidence to pursue a career in civil litigation. Today, as an associate at Hedrick Gardner, she brings that same close attention to every case she handles.

What keeps Ryan engaged is the variety of her work; different clients, different problems, and new things to learn with every matter.

During law school, Ryan served as Symposium Editor for the South Carolina International Law and Business Journal and Vice President of the Environmental Law Society, and earned a CALI Award for her performance in Natural Resources Law. She built on that foundation with an externship at Duke Energy and a stint with the South Carolina Public Service Commission, where she gained hands-on experience with rate case proceedings, a  background she hopes to benefit from as her practice grows.

A Maryland native (and lifelong Ravens fan) who has since made her way south, Ryan can often be found doting on her niece and nephew. The rest of her free time is filled with many creative outlets: baking, crocheting, cross-stitch, painting, and playing violin. She once made it to the screen-testing round for the Great American Baking Show but had to turn it down when filming conflicted with her law school graduation and the bar exam; she’s hoping for another shot.
