Biography

Ethan has always wanted to become a lawyer to help people. In fact, what drives him is the ability to help each client reach a positive outcome through creative problem-solving and strong advocacy. Ethan finds immense satisfaction in the service aspect of practicing law, relishing the opportunity to guide clients through perplexing, intricate, and sometimes daunting situations. Beginning his legal career representing plaintiffs in employment cases, Ethan gained valuable experience broadening his perspective and understanding of the law. This enriched perspective is now skillfully applied to serving and defending employers and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters.

While attending Wake Forest University School of Law, Ethan received the coveted Dean Suzanne Reynolds Award for achieving the highest grade in the school’s Public Interest Advocacy class. During this time, he worked as a Law Clerk for firms in Chicago, IL and Detroit, MI. Before law school, Ethan earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University.

Always the adventurous type, several years ago, Ethan and his wife spent nine weeks backpacking around seven different countries in Southeast Asia including Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines. For much of this adventure, they stayed with local people they met online. Ethan says, “I still daydream about all the amazing food we ate and beautiful places we visited.” These days, his adventures include trips to New York City where he and his wife like to pick new and different neighborhoods to explore, and hiking with their dog. Ethan also enjoys hosting backyard barbeques where he tries out new recipes for his guests.
