Biography

Morgan Rhyne enjoys helping her clients determine the most important details of each case, while making sure they don’t lose sight of the big picture.

Morgan became interested in law during an undergraduate class at UNC focused on the death penalty.  After persistently reaching out to attorneys in the Chapel Hill area, she secured a summer internship, an experience that confirmed her career path.

“My friends and family would tell you my career path was clear much earlier,” she said. “I have always thoroughly enjoyed poking holes in arguments and finding the “why” behind everything.”

During law school, Morgan competed in multiple Moot Court Competitions. She received 2 Book Awards and a Dean’s Excellence Scholarship.

Before joining Hedrick Gardner, Morgan worked as an attorney at a firm in Lincolnton, NC and completed an internship for the Federal Public Defender for the Eastern District of NC.

When she is not practicing law, Morgan and her husband enjoy taking their Cocker Spaniel, Scout, to the dog park. Her other hobbies include listening to podcasts, antiquing, needlepointing, and cheering on the Tar Heels.
