Biography

Parker has a diverse litigation practice focusing on representing insurance carriers and construction companies as well as defending professional liability claims, having previously practiced civil litigation across the Carolinas for a well-respected regional firm in Charlotte. He believes strongly in examining the minutiae of every matter: “Sometimes the most benign of details can take us down a route that is helpful for finding a resolution of the problem.”

Parker is a Cary, North Carolina native, as well as a third-generation Virginia Tech alumnus where he graduated from the Honors College and the Corps of Cadets and commissioned into the Army. He is an avid Virginia Tech Hokie Club member, presently serving on the Triangle Hokie Alumni Chapter Board and previously volunteering his time as Chairman of the Charlotte Young Alumni Chapter. His highest honor, however, comes from a profound encounter after being commissioned into the Army: “My grandfather, who served in the Navy during the Second World War, then aged 95 and suffering from dementia, stood up and saluted. That moment was greater than passing the Bar Exam and any graduation.”

When not at the office, Parker enjoys golfing, kayaking/whitewater rafting, playing tennis and visiting National Parks, as well as rooting for the Virginia Tech and South Carolina football squads.
