However, he is also a fierce advocate in the courtroom when litigation is necessary.
Wes earned his law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he served as articles editor for the North Carolina Journal of International Law. During law school, he worked as a research assistant and spent a summer clerking for Judge Noel L. Hillman of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
As a Spanish major at Hamilton College, Wes regularly uses his fluency to work directly with Spanish-speaking parties. His cultural horizons were broadened by a semester studying in Madrid and travels throughout Europe and Morocco. He also studied Russian and Arabic languages and cultures during his undergraduate years.
At Hamilton College, Wes was a two-time captain of the baseball team. Today, he maintains his active lifestyle through golf, functional fitness, and running. As a certified functional fitness instructor, he teaches two to four classes weekly. He lives in Charlotte with his wife and their English Bulldog.
