William R. Myers

William “Billy” Myers is a dedicated and competitive attorney with a passion for achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients, whether in one-on-one interactions or in the courtroom. His practice at Hedrick Gardner began in workers’ compensation, where he defends prominent retailers and insurance companies in workers’ compensation claims before the North Carolina Industrial Commission and beyond. His unending curiosity, coupled with the needs of his clients, led him increasingly into civil litigation.  

Today, Billy’s civil litigation practice spans various areas of insurance coverage, first party claims, and general liability matters — including premises liability and motor vehicle negligence. His insurance coverage work has focused on commercial general liability, commercial and personal auto, homeowners, and rental dwelling policies. 

Before joining Hedrick Gardner, Billy honed his analytical and leadership skills in the corporate world. He led an e-Discovery team for a global consulting firm, assisting clients with high-stakes matters involving securities regulations and federal and state litigation. He also led a team focused on data breach response, helping clients stay ahead of evolving privacy standards. 

Outside the office, Billy cherishes time with his wife and young son. He also enjoys biking on the greenways of Charlotte, experimenting in the kitchen, and woodworking.
