January 2024 — Hedrick Gardner Kincheloe & Garofalo LLP is proud to announce Rob Wilson has been appointed as the firm’s new managing partner of its Raleigh office, effective January 1, 2024.
Wilson will succeed Patricia Shields, who has served as managing partner since 2021. In his new role, Wilson is committed to continue the work of his predecessor, commenting, “I am honored to take on the role of office managing partner and will continue to manage the Raleigh office with the same focus and dedication as Tricia.”
As a partner in Hedrick Gardner’s Raleigh office, Wilson practices civil litigation defense, including cases involving products liability, professional liability, premises liability, institutional defense, commercial litigation, and construction defects. Wilson’s work in the products liability field has included defending designers, manufacturers, and sellers of products including medical devices, motor vehicles and their component parts, helmets, electrical devices, and a variety of other consumer goods. His professional liability work has included the defense of professionals such as real estate agents, appraisers, engineers, and architects. Wilson’s premises liability cases commonly involve personal injuries on retail premises but have also included wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases arising related to swimming pools and other recreational facilities as well as fire and explosion cases at both residential and commercial premises. Wilson has also defended institutions such as universities, school systems, churches, and municipalities. Wilson currently serves on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys.
