Biography

Kristy D’Ambrosio is at home in the courtroom and enjoys negotiating with opposing counsel. Her favorite part of practicing law is listening to her clients concerns and gaining an understanding of the unique circumstances in each case in order to craft the most effective defense strategy.

Kristy received her law degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. and began her career as a prosecutor in New York. After three years of prosecution work, she transitioned to civil litigation where she has worked since. After starting her career in New York, she was excited to return to her home state of North Carolina in 2019 and join Hedrick Gardner’s civil litigation team.

Kristy is a member of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys. During law school, Kristy served as the Moot Court Vice-Chancellor of the National Telecommunications Competition and was on the Moot Court Association Intellectual Property Team. She was a law clerk for the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and served as a Certified Student Attorney with Columbus Community Legal Services.

When not practicing law, Kristy enjoys pilates, indoor cycling, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and son.
