Biography

Paul Allen, Jr.’s experience in several areas of law helps him analyze legal issues efficiently and effectively. This ability, coupled with his excellent communication skills, makes him a strong advocate for his clients.

After his undergraduate studies, Paul worked for a law firm and came to appreciate the impact lawyers have on their clients and community. This experience led him to law school where he was on the Dean’s List multiple semesters and received the CALI award in the Voting Rights and Representation Seminar. Paul was an active member of the Moot Court Bar, serving as the Chief Justice and as a member of the National Moot Court Competition team. During law school, Paul was a student member of the John Belton O’Neal Inn of Court, and completed clerkships with the South Carolina House of Representatives and another South Carolina law firm. Paul was awarded the Robert T. Bockman Award for Appellate Advocacy upon graduation.

Before joining Hedrick Gardner, Paul worked as a staff attorney at the South Carolina Court of Appeals, where he analyzed briefs and assisted in the disposition of criminal and civil appeals.

When not practicing law, Paul enjoys hunting, playing golf, attending South Carolina athletic events, and spending time with his two German Shepherds.
